@JonathanSeagullUtube I tried ground rods at differant depths and had no differance with voltage, but my experiments with the ground rods was done earlyon in my experiments with this circuit and i may not checked or correctly checked current reading at that time,,,and i still have to try a plate in the ground horizontaly also. Now is getting cold and will have to wait till spring time to do more experiments on this project.

I don't know the 1N34 diodes, are they high speed? You could try the 1N4148 (same as 1N914 I think) they only cost a few cents and are ultra fast. If you're rectifying radio waves you'll need high speed diodes. I wouldn't think that a good earth is essential at these currents but testing would tell.

@warren52nz i forget what the properties of the 1N34 are, but i will try the 1n4148,,,,the important property is that it has low voltage drop. Yes, more experiments,,,thanks

@INVENTOR3 If you want high speed and low voltage drop use a Shottky diode. They have both qualities.
