The West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH), located at West 86th Street and West End Avenue in Manhattan, makes a lasting impact on the lives of its emergency food customers by providing food, counseling and wellness programs. As a leader in emergency food pantry innovation, we focus on long-term improvements. Emergency food is not the answer to a familys problems. WSCAH has built a team of counselors who work with customers to help them toward self-sufficiency. Besides our own job-training, exercise and ESL programs, we have created a network of social service partners, onsite and off, who greatly increase our ability to connect customers to programs that help. Onsite partners register clients for food stamps, free and low-cost family health insurance and many other services.

  • You guys are actually doing great work....there are pantries that the church keeps the best of the products before the people that stand in line in the rain snow or hot sun.... they give sacks of potatoes onions and any vegetables that they are given and keep them for themselves...is there anything that can be done about this?
