Thanks. A good idea to do this, and very helpful.

@espgold I guess you are right, the compact have a few middle and bass frequencies and few volume.
Aside compact, so you have "model 1" "not model 2", I thought you have "model 2". Ok.
In any case, would to ask you how more portable is the compact vs the "l1 model 1 or 2" I guess the compact is lighter, even think you could even carry on a motorcycle, but i'm not sure if it's the same with "model 1 or 2" I would buy the "model II" with tonematch but es expensive. Thanks.

@Barth905 Yeah, to clear that up, this is the L1 Compact versus the L1 Model 1. Listening to the video again I only hear a little bit of difference between the two units, with the Model 1 being slightly fuller around the bass frequencies.
The big difference is that the Model 1 will sound this good at much higher volume levels than the Compact can manage.
Neither unit has built in reverb. I use the T1 Tonematch mixer for that.

Hi, congratulations for your job and your playing and singing. Sounds great.
First of all one question, the compact system is also L1, "BOSE L1 COMPACT" So, I understand that the comparison is between the "L1 model 2" and "L1 compact. " Is that right?
If ok, it seems that the L1 model 2 "sound with more bass, which makes it a little nicer. Even so, I also like the compact.
1-The compact has built with reverbs. Do you use the reverbs of compact?, or use tonematch?
hi there! my name is libby am a singer, i am very interested in this pa however, reverb is very important to me and i was wondering what you think about this? there is no reverb on this pa L1, so what would you suggest?

@singerlibby I'm with you on the reverb. Gotta have it. You would have to add a small mixer with fx or a dedicated reverb pedal between your mic and the L1. I use the T1 Tonematch mixer because it offers so much more than just reverb and the sound is excellent. The TC Helicon line of vocal pedals might be a good place to start if you don't need the additional channels a mixer would give you.

Yeah it sounds like the L1 Compact has I brighter sound. I think I prefer that sound. So exactly how are you getting your accompaniment? I see you're using your Mac. But then what program...etc? And are you using that for your effects too?

@Byrds1967 Yes the Compact is brighter sounding with a sweet hi-fi feel to it. Perfect where the listening environment is more intimate. For large or loud rooms the horsepower of the bigger L1 is needed. I use Garageband to create my tracks either from scratch or starting with a decent midi file and tweaking from there. Playback is iTunes where I keep multiple playlists for the various types of venues I play.
The guitar sound is a floor processor (Tech 21 Tri-AC right now) into the T1 mixer.

hey man - when plugging an electric guitar into the COMPACT, do you put that little switch up to tonematch, or "line level?" the manual says anything other than an acoustic guitar should be line level, but my electric is SO muffled on that setting. curious as to how you get a good electric sound out of the compact.

@biuemusic5 In this video and in real life (lol) I run all signals through the T1 Tonematch mixer, never directly into the L1s. All of the guitar processing is done from there and the mixer out then goes into the Compact channel 2 with the tonematch switch off. Any guitar processor or multi-effect with cabinet emulation built in will sound great through these systems.
