After the Terran Alliance is ravaged by the Omega Conflict, two powerful individuals come to the fore: Senator Kenhui Yang and General Michael O'Flaherty. It is through the General's leadership and the Senator's diplomacy that the Conflict is brought to a swift end and the broken factions of humanity reconciled and reunited. In 2212, Senator Yang completes preparations for an expedition towards the star Procyon. By creating a colony of people free from war and tyranny, she, along with General O'Flaherty and millions of her followers, hopes to prove to the rest of her race that the horrors of the past need not be repeated. One year later, however, word reaches the Procyon Expedition of an attack on the outer reaches of the Terran Cluster. Before they can learn more, the star around which the expedition had gathered goes nova. All communications with Earth are cut off, and the fold routes are destabilized for lightyears in all directions, making return impossible. The colonists enter suspended animation and set their ships to carry on in conventional drive. By the time the first colony ship, Haven, reaches its destination in Arcturus, it is already 2269, and there have yet to be any further communications with Earth. As more colony ships report in, the Procyon Cluster begins to thrive and grow under the direction of President Kenhui Yang of the Procyon Colonial Council. Although piracy, crime, and chaos run rampant in the burgeoning human colony, the minds of most of the citizens of the Procyon Cluster are focused on discovering the fate of lost Earth...

they should have reskinned something simpler like escape velocity override. that was a better game in terms of gameplay anyway.

No its a new game made by using the EVN engine and by the looks of there site its dead.
