So Beautiful and Magical :) thank you for taking the effort to post this Classic Movie.
I have not seen this movie in a long time but it was like watching it for the first time all over again:)

my father witnessed the french massacre at setif--he never forgave france--this film was the exception--a masterpiece is a masterpiece

those are some seriously pissed off swans
-
i'm proud to be French

@CarrieCatherin Man, that is EXTREMELY gutsy to keep lying there while those things are hissing. I live next to a river and NO ONE tests a swan's patience.
-
@animefreak13ever lol yeah i couldn't help but chuckle at that
-
swan attack at 1:45!!! LOL

Wow! I think the best fantasy films were made during the 1940's!

thanks .

love the fact that they managed to make us wish for the beast as beast. i am sure that is the case with adults watching this (including reportedly garbo ). no doubt some children will be disappointed at that twist(but they have the enjoyable disney)

excellent, magique, on retombe en enfance!!!
I used to live in France when I was a child, and I remember watching this film in either 1997 or 1998 on television, I have never forgotten it.

@oceansdream84 I'm English, and I've always thought the same thing. As I've said in my post below that I used to live in Saumur, France from the age of 5 to 8 which was when I first saw this film on French TV. I'm now 23, I'm still speaking French and I still spend an extensive part of the year in France with friends from my time living there.
It really is a special country, French statesmen from the renaissance and de Gaulle and onto Chirac have likened France herself to a guiding light.
