Coal Creek Black Oak (Caduceus Quentin x Coal Creek Licorice) Beautiful, big, black, 15H classic Morgan stallion. Black Oak is big without sacrificing type and is "classic" in the sense that he is well-balanced, has excellent bone and solid feet, short back, big neck and a gorgeous head with wide eye-set and soft eye. Black Oak has a style and presence all his own . . . power, pose, suspension, impulsion, stamina, charm and intelligent describe him well. Already a proven sire, his foals show his excellent confirmation with strong legs, typey heads and kind of build to put you and keep you in the winners circle! Foals from Black Oak are sport horse prospects deluxe! Black Oak is heavily "Western Working" bred with a combination of Caduceus and Coal Creek bloodlines, featuring some of the best Brunk and old Government breeding. A "classic" Morgan is never out of style! Visit our website for breeding information. www.diamondqmorgans.com or call 715-964-1099 or email us at dqmorgans@centurytel.net

  • I have too agree, Too many of the breeders today seem too want a a saddle bred horse instead of a morgan . This guy looks like a Morgan and he looks like he can do what ever you ask of him. Not like the big names within the breed now. Oh Yea they look like great dressage horses but that is it. And don't even get me going on their ongoing foot problems .

  • @ed1856 We strive to produce and promote the "old style" Morgans at Diamond Q Morgans. Thanks so much for your comment and support of the traditional style Morgan. They are amazing and have the body, bone and heart to go all day!

  • How cow-y is he?

  • Keep up the old style with substance - yeh! With a good body comes good temperament and trainability; from soundness comes happiness in work. IMHO...

  • Don't ever let them try to "refine" the looks of these horses. I've seen some awful examples with the long, thin head - trying to make a perfect horse into an Afghan Hound...

  • Gorgeous - I really love the classic Morgans

  • He's so gorgeous!
