How do the Japanese do math? I think it would be all confusing if they used kanji.

@NodokaChan1 Kanji doesn't have a proper zero, so you have to use arabic numerals, just like in English. It makes it a lot easier!

When I was little (I'm 24 now), I'd learn with stories that I still use to this day. I had a story for nearly everything, although some I've forgotten. For example, a pig shaped as an 8 is taking a bath in a tub shaped as a 4. The pig tells a friend, "You should take one, you're dirty-too (32)."

Or a 7 shaped as a fireman inside a fire house shaped as a 4 is called to the scene of a fire. Unfortunately, the citizen says, "You're too-late (28)."

I could go on. Imagery/stories is very useful.

@GenkiJapanNet You should read the ones I have on Kanji, lol. I'm using the Heisig method. Yikes, that method will put your imagination to the test.
