PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT
autumn owls are four friends from dublin, who are writing and recording acoustic/alternative music from their converted studio since september 2006. The band have just completed the recording of their debut EP titled Insomnia Lodge. The EP is scheduled for release May 30 2008.

Influenced by past and contemporary artists such as Elliott Smith and Wilco, autumn owls are a combination of emotional intimacy and musical ambition. Songs carved from heartfelt folk, transported to unfamiliar ground by shifting arrangements, brooding piano, and bursts of guitar over subtle sonic landscape. Plaintive vocals of mournful hope merged with impulsive drums echo the sound of unsentimental tragedy.
