@REVPRO1 people still dont know how intense katrina was, where i live on the gulf it was like we still got hit by a smaller hurricane, surf wasnt near this good but still great for the gulf

they has 55.5 foot bouy readings in the golf, which translates to yikes..get this 105 foot waves!!!!!

@Utuber420able stop crying!

How many hours out was the storm? That's pretty nice and clean for a hurricane swell compared to the east coast when a storm hits.

where can I find the song?

Idiots. . .I live in Floria close to where this was shot. I can say 100% this was shot in the Gulf Coast. We actually get surf bigger then that. (Category 5 hurricane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) You must know very little about what hurricanes can do and what it did to New Orleans. Just to prove you idiots wrong google all those names at the end of the video. They all live on the Gulf Coast. Idiots -
As someone living in Naples (SW Florida), I thought I'd mention that this looks exactly like Gulf water (the particular color it gains from the ultra-fine sediment/sand that gives us those super soft beaches). Even the wave formations looks the same, just gigantified (they're completely asymmetrical, as compared to the consistency you see from the Pacific.. which only makes sense if there isn't generally a heavy wave action to organize the ocean floor into ridges that produce consistent waves).
what is with you guys? why can't you believe this is the Gulf ? 6 years later and people are still debating whether this was the Gulf?? I can assure you it was the Gulf of Mexico at Panama City Beach, Florida! Check out an archived issue from summer 2005 of Surfer Magazine or ESM and you'll see a lot of the same stuff. Do a little research and you'll see plenty more surf this size from Katrina.

Hi Scripp, why would we post a fraudulent video showing somewhere else and saying it was the Gulf? You can be assured the video is entirely of the Gulf during a Cat 5 storm. Just ask Matt Kechele, Keven Welsh (SurfNRG), and Surfer Magazine, they were all there as well. They also came back for IKE.
