ARTC Preferred Family Healthcare

A.R.T.C. is a creative arts program developed within Preferred Family Healthcares substance abuse treatment and prevention programs and has now been expanded to provide youth experiencing a wide range of high risk situations and adults in substance abuse treatment with a unique tool for personal change. Using a wide variety of artistic mediums (visual arts, music, creative writing), youth are encouraged to engage in alternate means of expression, creative team building activities, creative activities that can serve as positive alternatives to substance use and other harmful behaviors, and community events which encourage positive community involvement and community service. Truly a strength based approach, A.R.T.C. taps into the talents of our consumers, providing both an informational and therapeutic experience that can be much less threatening than traditional therapies and treatment.
