probably the most accessible of the 20 classical guitar études written by Leo Brouwer, both technically & harmonically...trying to stay as close to 1'25" as indicated in score :)

  • This is a great piece, did anyone hear Muse play it before Unintended at wembley?

  • it's beautiful. and loses its magic when you play it too fast!

  • Randy's 'version' of this is more of an actual song whereas Leo's Etude 6 sounds more like a study or technique exercise.

    Am i correct?

  • wow! just started playing this piece for my grade 5 exam, hope i can get it up to that standard!

  • I'm playing this all the day and night in my head, because soon I'll have guitar exam :) It's beautiful!

  • @vaibanez17 Yeah, that's where Randy got it from. According to Ozzy's biography (which might not be 100% correct due to his drug (ab)use), Randy was practising this piece and Oz basically said "woah, that's ace! Make a song out of it!". Randy told him it was an existing piece and he couldn't just use it, so Ozzy asked him to create his own interpretation of it by changing some of the chords etc.

The short version of the story on "Diary"! :)

  • Wow this is exactly like Diary Of A Madman intro. I guess Randy borrowed it. Still though to incorporate it into a metal guitar song so fluidly shows his brilliance on guitar.

  • ez már majdnem olyan mint mikor én játszottam...

  • sounded really great! the only thing i didnt really like was how intense your vibrato looked and how little it sounded. that would be all. great peice!

  • Not bad at all, left hand seems a little tight, but the piece is almost designed to help address this. Relax that hand a little more and you will notice a significant difference. Good job!

  • Nicely played. I like the ambience.

  • i like the randy rhodes variation better
