d5 is actually what Black wants White to play in this Pirc line. Black knows what he's doing, but White should not have chosen the Classical Pirc (4.Nf3) as it allows Black more freedom of plans than the sharper 4.Bg5 (my favorite) or even the aggressive 4.f4(though Black can equalize with correct play)

Should have advanced the d-pawn. Keep Black fianchetto locked in with tempo, because Black knight has to move.
