@rcmdarkdragon I played it. I liked it. And it's not the same game at all. Even if the 1st zone is CALLED Green Hill too, the level design isn't the same, and the boss isn't the same.

And I never complained about the fact the graphics aren't upgraded, I complained because they downgraded the graphics (and yet it's almost identical) + made the animation more choppy + reduced the screen. The GBA is more powerful than the Genesis, no excuse it is inferior.

Didn't nintendo market the GBA as a 32bit hand held? If so why does this game run worse than it did on a console with half the power over a decade earlier?

@Harperlarp 16 or 32-Bit, the GBA is almost as powerful as the SNES, which is way more powerful than the Megadrive.

Sega simply f--ed up all his straight-up ports from the Megadrive to the GBA. Phantasy Star II for example suffers from the zoom on the character, causing huge problems while navigating into a dungeon filled with 135610 corridors, the sound is also worse *facepalm*.

Oddly enough, Sonic Advance 1 looks, sounds and plays better than this. Sega just failed.

@Iainofthemeteor There is, subtitles are disabled when CC is grey, if it's red and you don't want the subs, just click on it.

holy cow did they just remove all the collision in this game??? (where are the bad guys???) that was the problem with later sonic games, there weren't enough enemies... I just picked up sonic1 at the salvation army for my genesis and it was quite a bit more challenging. what have they DONE??

Some of those sound effects are straight off the Master System.

@Sangohan404 instead of buying the shitty gba version, play the sonic classic colection for DSi / DS or jENESIS emulator for ds
