This was my submission for Current TV's contest for Common's music video for his "Make My Day" track featuring Cee-Lo.
I found out about the contest about 4 days before the deadline, and cranked it out...uploading it just minutes before it was due. Close call. This version is a little more fine tuned than the version I posted on Current.com
There were a few edits I didn't have time for, and that version accidentally got rendered in 4:3 format rather than 16:9 which it was made in.
Originally wanted to make an animated character for Common as well, but not enough time. I started editing his parts about 24 hours before it was due...so used shots I filmed throughout Maui, Hawaii for backgrounds and misc. shots...combined those with the green-screen shots, with added effects.
The animated chorus parts for Cee-Lo were hand drawn, vectorized, then animated in Flash. Everything was sequenced in Premiere.
