You can´t really get around it. Synchronized swimmers tend to be among the most attractive (sexiest?) athletes around.

Being attractive helps them sometimes (sponsors...) and hurts them a lot (the people who think that these girls are being too sexual, or think synchro isn´t a sport).

And its why synchronized simming athletes have to work so hard at appearing serious and dedicated.

sorry, but this commercial makes synchro seem even more ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I'm an elite synchro swimmer, but that's the kind of thing people see and make up their minds right away about it.
