@iLoveMyPygmyGoats No they don't NEED meat. My cat has been vegan since I got her 10 years ago.
She is now 19 with a great coat. Meat is natural for them in the wild but this is a domesticated animal. Don't be such a dogmatic imbecile!!!

@uMustBeHigh If your cat does not live to be 24 yrs. or OLDER and suffers from NO ailments or diseases, and this includes tartar and gum disease...even hairballs....then your cat is not on the proper diet. Too many animals I have rescued were previously fed dry cat food containing grain and ALL of them had some health issue. Once on a raw diet they all RECOVERED and regained OPTIMAL health and lived much older then 19 years.

@iLoveMyPygmyGoats If you have rescued them .. obviously they were left somewhere and they could have been eating bad stuff that they found anywhere.. duhh it's not their food.. and grain based food is bad, if not picked carefully.. I found 5 cats that ate raw meat and they had severe health issues, I gave them some of my cat 's vegan food they recovered and regained optimal, and lived much older too.. lol when she said that her cat is 19 she didnt say that it wouldnt live longer.

I live in Brazil how can I buy PLEASE I NEED IT VERY MUCH!!!

@uMustBeHigh Yeah, they need the chemicals that meat contains. They can get it from another source.
-
@uMustBeHigh ..the first true cats lived 30 million years ago and our 'domesticated' felines have not evolved much from the original except in small changes in appearance due to selective breeding by man...domestication does NOT alter the fact they are obligate carnivores one iota!
-
@uMustBeHigh You obviously do not grasp the concept of OBLIGATE carnivore....it literally means they REQUIRE protein from raw animal sources and do not even produce the enzyme needed to metabolize carbs because they HAVE NO NEED OR NUTRITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR CARBS WHATSOEVER. Whether or not you feed it vegan..the cat IS and ALWAYS will remain an OBLIGATE carnivore.....every single cat, wild OR domestic - is an obligate carnivore....and no matter what you claim NOTHING can change that FACT.
-
@uMustBeHigh Wow....apparently you are very immature to be calling names and while I could resort to name-calling and most likely be accurate in your case I won't stoop to your level....I have rescued cats since 1970...i have done extensive research...talked to renowned animal nutritionists and the scientific data does not lie.

@iLoveMyPygmyGoats Well we agree on this point you putz! :-)

@iLoveMyPygmyGoats why dont you go do some research on human digestive anatomy and compare it to the anatomy of herbivorous animals like goats, cows or horses, the evolution of man and history of the genus "homo"
You are very welcome :)
