Episode 02 of this series documenting the One Laptop per Child project focuses on the activities built for the laptop. Activities, not applications, since the machine is designed for children and applications is a decidedly adult word.
yea point is to make them as unadult friendly as possible so it wont sell on the black market. I think i'm going to buy one for the technology involved and it's an excellent program I hope it works.
I agree... i'm about $50 short, and I know my parents won't give me the 50 because they're already paying $2000 for me to go to germany next summer, and want me to help w/ the cost. I really want 1 of these, though
Great project...I would suggest getting rid of the bright green -it looks more like a little game someone might buy for their toddler. So I think if the design looked a bit more professional and modern it would help a lot, because I don't think anyone over the age of 11 or 12 would want to use one of these. And a large portion of "children" are over that age and could definitely benefit from this (especially in developing countries). Just a tip tell me what you think.

I'm 14 and I'm saving to buy one for when they're available to the public.

In another video I had seen they said the Green was because they wanted it to stay out of the hands of the Black Market and thieves, etc.
