This game was fought out using the excellent Forge of War free ruleset that can be found at http://thegamesshed.wordpress.com and the Yahoo discussion group http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/forgeofwar/ where the rules and supporting material continues to be developed with the active involvment of FofW's fanbase.

The game pitted a Warzone Imperial strikeforce against a Bauhaus Homebuilder colony. Through luck and tenacity, the Imperials won the day.

This is my first audio/visual project of this kind, so I apologize for the poor production value in places.
Thanks for looking.

Credits: The music track is "The Armed Man" as scored by Karl Jenkins.

  • this video is so inspiring- the warzone minatures look great! It great that you can still play sci fi wargames without having your bank balance raped by games workshop. I like your terrain any pointers on what you used or where you got it?

  • Thanks for the comments everyone! Earthad666, the terrain was mostly made with household items and the only real investment was in time. This is what I can recall using offhand.

The rocky outcrops=foam pieces mounted on old CDs.

The tree stands=boughs from a small Christmas tree mounted on old CDs.

The fence perimeter=plastic drywall trim from Home Depot.

The buildings=3 for $1 storage tubs from Walmart.

    The tower=sand castle mold.

Power generator=top of 1.5 liter Canadian Mist Whiskey :-).

  • Many thanks! It all kind of happened by accident, and I am surprised myself that it came together as well as it did. Now I just have to learn how to use the camera properly!
