  • Do you have the whole video of this thing on the Seattle Channel? I really enjoyed Company and would like to see the entire spotlight *cough*especiallykendra*cough*

  • I do, but I'm leaving for Seattle tonight. There is, however, a link to the full video on the Company page of the site I do for Hugh. Click the link in my profile and you should be able to find it.

  • great....now Sondheim has made another wacky new musical. Well at least Hugh's in it. When was this on tv? Yay hugh

  • It's actually not new, but a revival of a show that first played in 1970. This segment was aired in Seattle in late September - it was filmed on 9/25.

  • What is Company anyway?

  • It's a Sondheim musical about a bachelor surrounded by married friends on his birthday. Hugh will be playing the lead in the Seattle production this month. I have clips of him "previewing" two of the songs posted here - "Someone Is Waiting" and "Being Alive." More information is available at the site I run for Hugh - the link is in the video description.

  • Thank you so much for this video. That was a really smart interview. Sondheim's musicals definitely require a lot of "acting on pitch", but it doesn't hurt when they have beautiful voices as well. I remember the Baker's Wife from into the woods had a beautiful voice but her acting just blew me away.

"Don't sing, Hugh" lol. Best quote ever!

  • Thanks. Are you gonna audio the show? If so, I will do ANYTHING to get a hold of it

  • ohhhh. I get it now! thanks paula

  • Okay thanks a bunch Paula74.
