@MrGrassysound yeah dick hornbuckle was the owner of the car. he went back to close the doors in fear of the wind pushing the car over the last 14 inches. he also grabbed his golf clubs which were in the trunk.

@savican1 And after he and his two (?) passengers left the sagging portion where the car stopped, they realized they left their cars open...they decided to back to close them!

@sauge1000 yeah his name was richard hornbuckle. he saw that the bridge was missing and was able to stop right in the nick of time 14 inches from the severed edge. his interview is in one of the 4 videos.

i heard a guy had a feeling to stop then he stooped just inches from the edge he couldnt see anything because of fog

I came to the Tampa area that day, passed over the bridge hours before this happened with my Dad, Mom and little Sister. Our friend ended up stuck in the traffic from this 35min after it happened. Very Lucky Day for us
