A little teaser for a series of videos I hope to put together over the coming months, showing parts of the "Hetalia History" panels that my historian buddy and I plan to present at various anime conventions. Neither of us is much into moe bishounen, but we love the interest that Axis Powers Hetalia has sparked in world history topics among younger anime fans. We plan to talk about some of the obscure history referenced in the show through everything from offhand jokes to costumes. This clip is a little gag based on a remark by the "Iron Chancellor" of Prussia and the German Empire, Otto von Bismarck, about the "3 Essentials for Stability", from the outstanding British period drama "Fall of Eagles" (which we're using several clips from in our panel)! Rewatching that series to prepare I saw this scene and couldn't help but want to pair it with an innocent, happy Russia...

A panel like that seems very interesting! I've always been a bit of a history nerd, and Hetalia just made me love it more! I hope your panel will be coming around Oklahoma some time soon!

@ArtGirl140 Oklahoma, I fear probably not. The closest possibility might be Dallas for A-Kon if I make it there again in the future. Other than that I plan to present at AnimeNext in NJ, Anime Expo, Otakon (hopefully) and Anime Weekend Atlanta. That reminds me, I should update mu status info with newer convention plans!
