what can you do on it once you installed it?

Use it as a regular computer. It is probably more clumsy than a regular computer and the ps3 OS is doing so that the linux OS can only use some of its power.

I personaly have not used it alot, but saw installing it as a project. I just like fiddling around with stuff like this and i think that it's wery fun.

how do you switch out of linux back to the ps3?

Look under application in yellow dog. Theres a butten with the text "boot game os" on it. Click on it and it will now boot the original ps3 os.
