The Front de libération du Quebec was a Québécois Freedom-Fighters organization which staged a series of attacks in the late 1960's which culminated in the kidnappings of Pierre Laporte, Quebec's vice-Prime Minister /minister of culture and James Cross, the British Consul in Montreal, in October of 1970. This film traces those events and the political and social reactions and circumstances surrounding them.

  • @SophieLazier Like your people ever cared about ours, my family moved to New France to escape France, and when the British took over we celebrated because we knew which was the better empire to be part of.

  • @natlovesberries i know how you feel. I speak perfect french and I was discriminated my whole like just because my dad is english

  • @koalacuba123 your neighbour is a fucking fag

  • @natlovesberries please get the fuck out right now

  • MY FUCKING NEIGHBOR HAS A FUCKING FLQ FLAG IN HIS BACK YARD I WANNA BURN IT!

  • the most boring voice ever

  • what bugs me know is that because im english in quebec I was discriminated my whole life. I went to french schools(by force) and my teachers showed favoritism to french students. They told I was stupid for a very long time. and the worse part is I used to believe them. I was never able to get a job because my french wasn't strong enough. Life is tough here. Can't wait to get out of here.

  • @MrCanadian1867 Do you know that even as italians in TO, my parents had to fight with the Irish and english to protect themselves from discrimination when they came to Canada. The Irish faced discrimination when they came. It's a normal process but those who have lived through it should know better. And so many of the cultures what have come to Canada work like dogs to make a living here..and have contributed incredible amounts to this country. This english superiority is nothing but bullshit...

  • @MrCanadian1867 I'm not french...even though I have a french name. I've never lived in Quebec......my background is italian. Even so, your answer is quite patronizing. If I was in their position, I would just tell you to fuck off if you came around with that attitude. Actually....any culture in Canada would react the same towards you. You have no right to control anyone's culture actually. And this is the beauty of Canada that I hear on almost every radio show on Canada Day...
