Selena's POV:
My mom and dad walked into my room right after David left.
I wanted to sit down and cry, but I knew that would just worry them.
What had David meant about helping me? Would he be back? I really hoped so.
"Are you alright?" My mom asked, interrupting my thoughts.
I looked up at her. "Yea." I answered.
My dad didn't look like he believed me. "Do you want to start moving your stuff in here, now? Or after dinner?" He asked.
"Might as well do it now." I said with a sigh.
A few hours later I was lying on my bed.
"Wow, you look bored."
I sat up. David was sitting on my dresser.
"I am bored." I told him.
David's eyebrows furrowed, "You were never bored back in Tenesee...but Tenesee was way awesomer than..." he looked around, "Here" He finished is sentence.
I sighed, "You were also there." I said.
He chuckled, "Yea, I AM awesome." he said.
I rolled my eyes, "Still as cocky as ever." I said.
He smiled. "You are one weird girl." He said.
I frowned, "What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well...for all you know I'm a ghost...or a figment of your imagination...but here you are having a playful conversation with me." He said.
I shrugged. "I guess." I said.
He frowned, "You probably want to know what I meant about helping you, right?"
I nodded, smiling slightly. He was always able to read her face.
"Well....when someone dies...there's always someone they leave behind....someone miserable."
I nodded, that was definately me. He smiled as if he knew what I was thinking.
"Well...in this case...it's you." He smiled slightly, "So I'm supposed to help you get over it...if I can."
I looked away. I really wanted him to stay. "So...once I'm over it...you'll be gone?"
He smiled gently. He hopped off my dresser and walked towards me. "I'm not just here to help you get through this...once you are over this and I become an angel...that would make me YOUR guardian angel."
I smiled at him. "I missed you." I whispered.
"Trust me, I know how you feel." He smiled back.
I heard footsteps outside my door.
He sighed, "That's your dad, I should go."
"When will you be back?" I asked him.
"Tomorrow, it's your first day at a new school." He said.
"What? No one said anything about a new school!" I said.
He smiled, "Yet." He said. He looked over his shoulder at my door. "I really have to go now, bye."
"Bye." I whispered. He dissapeared.
The next day, I woke up and got dressed. My mom drove me to school. I walked to the office and sat down in a chair, waiting for the principal to call me in. Suddenly, David was sitting next to me.
"It's rude to make people wait." He said, scowling at the door to the principal's office.
"What are you doing here?" I whispered.
"I told you I was coming back today." He said.
"Yea, but I didn't think you meant at school. What if someone sees you dissapear?" I asked.
"You're the only one who can see me." He said.
"Then I'll look crazy talking to thin air." I hissed.
He chuckled, "You'll look crazy anyway." He said.
I glared at him. "Thanks." I muttered sarcatically.
"Well, everyone will be staring at you because you're new...and it's March...they'll think you're crazy anways." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "Yea, and I should add to that by looking like I'm talking to myself." I said, "Brilliant plan."
He looked at the prinicpal's office. "Good luck." He said, then he dissapeared. The door to the office opened. Out came a boy with curly brown hair. His chocolate brown eyes roved over my figure. He smirked. The principal came up behind him.
"Get to class, Jonas." He looked at me, "You must be Ms Gomez, come on in."
I stood up. I moved past the guy who just came out of the office. He smirked again and let me by.
I didn't know what his problem was, but I knew he couldn't be good news.
After my meeting with the principal I had to hurry to get to my first class. I was already late.
When I got to class, I walked up to the teacher's desk.
"You're Ms Gomez?" he asked.
I nodded.
"I'm Mr Mackenzie, but everyone calls me Mr Mac, would you like to introduce yourself?" He asked.
I looked around at all the staring eyes, "No thanks" I told him.
He pointed to the only vacant chair in the room. "Well, you can take a seat next to Mr Jonas." He said.
The boy from before looked up. He saw me and smirked. I sighed, then walked over to the seat. I sat down.
