Jim and Morgan weren't paired often on TEC, but they were an especially effective comedy partnership. Here, the pair play cowboys in a remote area that looks a lot like the view from my backyard. Legend has it that very area saw a cowboy run into a cactus so hard only his saddle was left, killing both him and his horse by implication. From that night on, these parts are haunted by The Galloping Saddle.

Jim, Morgan, and some clever green screen and compositing, take it away...

A big hug and a thank you to the heroic Nantoreturns, who done the dirty deed :D

  • I used to die laughing at the saddle and their reactions; at the same it was also kind of scary!

  • Thanks for posting videos from my FAVORITE show when I was growing up! Why don't they make shows like these anymore? Do you remember Morgan Freeman sing a sad song, "Shoo Shoo Sunshine"? Do you have THAT one?

  • I do have it actually, but I need to have the VHS it's on shipped to me before I can digitize and post it.

  • I wonder if Morgan really believed that was a mirage. Otherwise, why would he go all the way to Cleveland?

  • Morgan forgot to take off his fancy watch!

  • Wow, isn't it amazing how these things can stick in our heads and freak us out? I laughed out loud at seeing it on here tonight... I built it up to be this big, eerie thing.... haven't seen it since the late 70's probably and have been talking about it since. No one seems to remember the galloping saddle but me. And here it is....!

  • Weird..everyone remembered being scared by this the first time they saw it. Me, I was more stunned than scared. The firs five sec. of the opening titles of the last two seasons..now THAT scared me..

  • I've got that on VHS, too. Maybe with some time I can post the sketch. I don't remember exactly who it was who sang "Doo-Dah", so I don't want to make a wrong comment here.

  • YEP! I remember this one, too! A man coming in a doctor's office, only able to say "TH". It turned out he had a "TH" stuck in his throat. At the end, the 3hummed a note, then sang "Doo-Dah Doo-Dah"! I DON"T remember who portrayed the 3. Do you?

  • There was a scene in "Brokeback Mountain" that was very similar to this.

  • ME TOO!!!
