  • Great Idea! I've been lazy about ordering Scupper plugs so I've been dealing with having a wet ass the whole time I'm on the water. You sir, Have Dried my butt and for this I thank you!

  • Thanks! Check out the Nerf plugs video too.

  • Well, good video, and good idea. I would only make one comment, and that's about smoothing the sides with a lighter. I would use a candle. Damn lighters get hot and can burn your fingers on the metal part, and my finger gets tired holding the lighter gas lever down. A candle stays lit by itself (inside out of the wind), and allows you to use two hands to rotate the foam over the flame. Happy Yaking.

  • williamsburg va?

  • Good idea. Practice golf balls also work well.

  • @fishyaker ok im going to asume that the scupper plug is the thing you pull when you want the water inside the kayak to drain okie dokie so why do you loose the original one in the first place why not like put it on a cord

  • Thanks.. I flipped the yak and lost one. So I made one out of those gardener kneeling cushions...I had already cut up..to pad my kayak cart.

    YOU rock!

  • Thanks I flipped my ywilderness tarpon 120 kayak on Juniper springs (woo hoo) and lost a plug. Now thanks to you ans those foam gardener "kneeling cushions" I got a new plug and a spare!
