  • great video, me and the lads are going to do snowdon in the summer, but some of them wanna try going the way you did (over crib gogh), we have very little experience, we have only climbed scafell pike, and iv heard the exposure is immense! would you recommend it or not? cheers- shawy

  • @ShawySWFC

I will always recommend it ! Its actually not that technical. Yes, the Crib Goch ridge "the Knife Edge" can be scary if you're afraid of heights but it's not difficult. Just don't slip !

The hardest part about doing the complete horseshoe is your fitness... (the easy option is do crib goch to Snowdon, then go back down the miners track... But if you have the legs for it, carry on round to Lliwedd, its well worth the extra effort.

    Good luck !

  • Looks a cool route might try this out on the weekend. Ta

  • Its a classic ! But sadly it gets busy in the holidays. Get there as early as you can !

Enjoy some of the finest views in Snowdonia (weather allowing)

  • heyy nice vid. me and my friends are doing this in like 2 weeks, any tips or suggestions?

  • Take waterproofs ! Be prepared for a long day and achey legs. Enjoy !

  • @GlennS1970 well thats just the thing, as i have never done a ridge walk im wondering how i will handle that much exposure! think ill probably shit my pants to be honest lol

  • Amazing memory thanks. Did this aged 14 on a very windy day

  • We sarted at Pen y Pass and took the Pyg track. Left the pig track at the base of Crib Goch. Then just followed the ridge all the way round returning to Pen y Pass via the miners track...

  • What route did you follow?
