How do you set up Logic with Reason to play or record two or more MIDI devices simultaneously? This tutorial will show you how and explain in detail the "why" of how it's done.

  • @TheBeatSmasher The reason for the complicated setup is for recording multiple midi devices at the same time. The way you describe works great for one device, but multiple people recording two keyboards makes for a bigger headache.

  • @likethedesertband How'd you get that "style" where when you click it has that vibration or puddle looking thing around it?

  • @seanbond8 it's an app called Screenflow for Mac. You can get it in the app store.

  • Also, I've done several tracks in Reason that I would like to "record and/or mix" in Logic for mixing purposes...Any idea how can achieve this?? Thanks a million for your reply in advance!

  • @EarthToneMusik the only way you're going to achieve this is to record the audio from Reason and place whatever tracks that result into separate tracks in Logic. I've never really tried to mix down anything directly from Reason before, but I'm sure there are a bunch on YouTube. I may be wrong about this.

  • Wow you made this way to difficult. All you really have to do to play midi from logic into reason is:

    1. Create a new Midi Track

    2. Select Media, Library, Reason.

    3. Select the resaon instrument you want to play through.

All the instruments and devices from Reason are listed in Logic.

  • Well, there is a Logic and Reason for everything! Sorry, I couldn't resist, nice video!

  • @Jorgepumax Again sorry for the insanely late reply, but I have to say this question is a little out of my league. I hope it works out.
