there is some shmults on your lens for shooting this video...

under-estimating the d40 is a big NO-NO! i've used it over a year, and it never failed me! i may be using a canon 50d nowadays, but i have high respect for the nikon d40! it helped me a lot about learning photography. and i have been told that the d40 has CCD sensor, and CCD sensors are said to be slightly better than the CMOS.

I'm with you- the D40 is a brilliant little dslr - I was given one (luckily) and I like it as much as my D80 - except for the lens compatibility thing but hey! The D40 Definitely proves that a good eye can do more with a 6mp camera and a good lens than a person with no imagination can do with a brand new 200 ker-zillion pixel Canon 'digital-20th new model this year for all those gullible number-obsessed people who'll also need a new pc/mac to deal with the huge files...rebel' ;)

that spec of dust on the lens of your video camera is REALLY irritating... nice review of the bag... I still need to figure out if the X7 will hold my Canon Eos 500D with my EF 70-200M F/4 lens though...

so whats better? lowepro slingshot 200 or tamrac velocity 7x?
-
would you recommend this for a person with the nikon d60 with the 18-55 kit lens, the 55-200 mm, and a sb-600 flash?

I'm fixing to buy a Nikon D90 and I'm undecided between a Tenba or a Tamrac sling bag. Any who, I love y'all on camera arguing. lol

i just got the d5000 gotta love Nikon!!!!!

thanks alot . Yeah i was wondering about the inreior because on the website from tamarac, they say the main pocket is 5.5 in. and my came is about 6in. so i didnt think that was right but it is better to be safe than sorry
sorry but the D40 is not that great but its a good start i think though that for a photographer of your stature and skill you should step up to the d80 or d90 or try cannon 40 or 50d

the d 40 was a gift. At the time the only digital camera I had was a point and shoot. Ken wanted to get a good (read better) camera. He went to Ritz and talked to the sales staff b4 buying this one. He ALMOST got the d80 but was told it was not that differnt form the d40. so he went with the cheeper option. (not that this was cheep for him.) At some point I will invest in a better nikon but right now I'm happy with what I have....its better then nothing.

yeah i understand i would do the same thing and after i read the comment i posted i realized i sounded like a jerk im sorry if i offended you or your "baby". Its not that the d40 is bad just it is starting to get out dated and you could probably sell that camera on ebay or craigs list and get almost enough money to buy a mid-level dslr. by the way i was wondering about how deep would you say the compartment for storing the camera with its lens is? sorry again, Snipingfox

it didn't sound like you being a jerk. Just truthful. But poeple often wonder why I have such a low level camera and thats why.
for the camera with the lens on you have about 10 in of internal space. the two spaces on the side are a little sorter. they make bigger/small bags to fit your needs.
