@AfterOmega Russians are working on the nuclear powered rocket.........google it.....it was in thenews a few days ago, it is now official (2015 prototype I believe)..it is going to be sick!!! It is about time, we hit some innovation.............

Is this where we are?
A long cylindrical Rocket?
I wonder what the Russians are doing.
Have they fallen so far behind that they no longer threaten or inspire?
Or is this long cylindrical rocket the best the world has to offer.
I never thought the future would look like this.
Wait! What are the Chinese doing?

good idea

No need to build heat shield or aerodynamic designs consideration for this vehicle. This would be the most practical and cost effective ways of carrying people along with satellites and probes on long repeated missions for nearby planets and moons.
If NASA will be sending missions to moons and the planets in our solar system than I think NASA should consider building a large intra planetary vehicle which will always stays in the orbit and never comes down on ground whether on earth or any planet or moon. This vehicle or ship needs to be build only once and can ferry between earth and the planets or the moons and only gets refueled in the earths orbit by other rockets bringing fuel and cargo and wont need too much fuel either.
