Just showing a little bit of Groove Circuit and showing some gameplay, all on foot with hand markers and gimmicks on. I'll show feet only gameplay a little later on today.

Observations:

Graphics are back to HP1. No fancy effects, no lighting, no pyro. The models do look better, though the animations seem to get a bit more jittery than in HP1.

Like HP2, hand markers work VERY WELL! Also like HP2, they're quite ambitious too.

Timing Windows seem to be like HP2, HP1 still feels stricter than this even though the engine is nearly identical.

One major issue unfortunately as you can see is that the charts themselves are VERY basic. So far Mario Mix is harder than this game's 10 foot song which is very worrying. This actually bothers me a great deal because DDR Disney Channel wasn't cut down in difficulty like this.

More later...

  • I like that Pluto just stands there. Looks cute.

Also, wtf at Lesson by DJ's banner.

  • Eh, that's all the banners to be honest with you, just enough to tell you what you're playing and that's it. Haven't had time to look at the routines yet, so I can't really comment on them.

You're quite right. The Advanced Mode holds hope though so don't give up on it JUST yet...

Oh, and I'm really happy to hear HM's work well.

  • Problem is, I've yet to see this "advanced" mode. And wasn't training mode in that press release too? So far I've seen no signs of that either.

  • Yeah, but like I said on the other vid, I got a feeling they're unlockable kinda like Dance N Defend was in HP2. Otherwise, why would they mention it (especially when it wasn't mentioned in the older PR) if it wasn't included?

  • Lesson by DJ is back?! I'm not surprised but...

I saw your DS games behind your TV for a sec there, lol. :P

Zip's chart is okay... at least Hand Markers seem to work really well. I love the remix, though, that's for sure.

Have you encountered Training Mode or Advanced Mode yet? Maybe they're unlockable? That was your first attempt and you nearly AAA'd it. Uh oh. And that was a 6. Clocks seemed to pose more of a challenge.

Did he just say Groovetacious?! O_o
