Uriah shows some tight integration between the Sonnus i2M Pitch to Midi converter and his existing bass rig.

The orig. bass signal is straight through the line selector (LS2) to the 4 bass effect pedals and out. The upper loop (loop "B") of the LS2 has the i2M in it, where the bass gets converted to midi, then travels via USB to the laptop. The resulting audio is routed from the Mac's headphone jack back INTO the LS2, where it can be solo or combined with the original bass signal. That ill-ass sound goes back out through the 4 bass pedals, and on to the amplifier, a TC Electronics RH450.

  • You have the same bass octave and bass wah model, that I have.. Now I'm NEVER gonna replace those badboys!

  • SICK!! Been wondering what to use to do that live! Sounds amazing and is easy! Do you have a run-down of your whole rig there somewhere? Would be a HUGE help. Thanks for the post!

  • Uriah, Cool set up. I noticed that you play the Sonuus on the guitar setting. I had one and on the bass setting the latency was horrible. I may want to pick another one up after seeing this video. Does the guitar setting may a difference? Thx!

  • Hey Uriah, I'm also curious about some more details - more on the Sonuus software settings. I bought one and the LS-2 to run it like you have. Getting some odd notes tracking the MIDI here and there. I'm using Main Stage as my software rig. Anything you have time to add would greatly be appreciated :)

  • hi uriah, hope you are well, i always love your vids but i was wondering if you could do another one about the sonnus i2m. in a little more detail. love your playin dude. rob from cloudy england

  • Very Nice! I've been waiting for an affordable good midi tracker for years! I've seen some other reviews that may indicate that this could replace my Apogee Jam. Nice tones Uriah!
