  • So the strikeforce has a tinder compartment, but isn't waterproof? Seems kind of counterproductive. If it WAS waterproof, that would be great to cram a bunch of cotton balls into. You could have a week's worth of firestarters in there.

  • @arcooke i plan to add the strikeforce to my emergency kit, but it will be sealed i ziploc. it would be nice if the case didnt leak though.

  • BTW, FTW, Your veins and arteries are an EMT's dream. I could hit you in-the-dark blindfolded.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri ya, i was a pincushion in combat livesaver class.

  • ...It's not this one... I made this one... Out of my daughter's bracelet kit...

MANLY VD6! Very manly indeed :-)

I kid, I kid, great stuff, as usual.

  • @happysplodie i was going to do it purple glitter with hearts and butterflies... but had to settle for the crappy orange and brown. im keeping my eye out for a justin bieber or hannah montana lanyard on ebay, so i got that going for me...

  • I have two nanoStrikers. Found no problems with the striker itself. Most people put more force into striking the rod than is nessasary. I think that the problem is user error. I also have a StrikeForce. It was the first one that I bought. I don't think that it throws as much of a spark as the nanoStriker does.

  • "wet fire tab" My ass! v6 ur bttr thn that. try "flash"

  • ninja marketing; select group

  • Informative video :D

  • Some other notes on Wet Fire - The best performance I have had with it is using a generic butane lighter (yeah cheating), but as a tinder source that will burn for minutes allowing you to start a fire...sometimes I think the term "fire starter" gets confused. It will float and burn at the same time.

I have the UST Strike Force fire steel and love it...for a smaller alternative, I use a BSA Hot Spark. 3.00 online and 4.00-5.00 at a local Boy Scouts counter.
