The chi 44 iron guard makes my hair sticky

@janiekendle You're suppose to brush your hair so that the spray spreads around. You don't leave it in. Brush it so that it'll spread throughout your hair. Get what I mean?

Thanks so much for the great review, it was the best informed video about the product i could find, i just bought the product recently some would say the smell was somewhat boyish however, smelled good to me lol but other than that its been pretty much like you'd said it be(:

Thanks for the advice about making sure your hair is completely dry before flatironing. Seems like common sense but sometimes, even with dry hair, I can start flatironing too quickly before the product dries. By the way, you sound like Renee Goldsberry. :)

for some reason i hate using sprays while straightening... I feel they are messy and when i spray its like i cant aim and it gets everywhere. lol i was looking for this today while at Marshalls but got the Keratin Mist instead.

wow, quick reply!
this is one of the worst heat protectants I have ever used...crispy and sticky and makes your hair really not soft at all

It has silk AND protein in it, so using too much will make your hair sticky, and leave product on your tools.
A little goes a long way.
