  • @apologeticacattolica I echo your sentiments entirely and this young man is not a particularly good exponent of the lied either and so one wonders how he will sound in opera?

  • I'm sure you mean well, but it's premature to give lessons on such a visible platform like the Internet - especially if you're then going to sing and evidence a far from polished vocalism. Study and hone your skill in private before you publicly undertake the role of a teacher. I wish you the best in your endeavors. You're a bright and talented young man.

  • Your throat is closed. You are trying to lower your larynx by pressing down the root of the tongue and yawning. This only closes the throat in the opposite way to a high larynx. Your larynx is actually high against the hyoid despite the whole mechanism being lowered artificially. One needs to allow the larynx to float in a neutral position. Check out my channel for some exercises. You could have a really good voice.

  • to keep your head held high is a very bad thing that only calls for forcing, without appoggio u will never achieve a low stable larinx, watch Tenellivoiceguru to have an idea of what i am talking about,if u want of course,u gasp desperately for air very bad thing no control of fiato at all, also a sing of improper support, before teaching u most learn, kiddo that is very bad of u,u do not have yet an operatic voice,at least not a real one, good luck

  • The voice sounds like a pop voice. It sounds like it comes from your throat, where as, operatic singers sound like the voice comes from lower in the body. Find a good teacher who can teach you about support. Good luck on your voice journey if opera is your goal.

  • Sorry mate, I saw your video about lowering your larynx, unfortunately that's not it. Larynx needs to be kept at the most relaxed position possible at every part of the range.

  • @Garoosh99 A throaty sound is not a bad sound, simply a different one

  • ehh, its a manufactured sound. Forcing the larynx down like you do kills all your higher soft notes and makes you sound throaty.
