@SilverHamer ok I did a little more research, your right it doesn't add up , although he was a killer and did dress as a clown . turns out Desperado by the Eagles was supposedly his favorite song... somewhere along the lines the group, song , killer , clown,, thing got twisted up .
thanks for bringing it to my attention so I don't spread something silly.

@TheRocketSilo John Wayne Gacy Jr raped and murdered 33 teenage boys and young men between 1972 and 1978. (Wikipedia). Alice Cooper's Killer album, upon which this song was included, was released in November 1971, around 7 years BEFORE anyone knew about JWG. IF there is any connection at all it would have come long after the song was recorded, and I'm sure the parallel was drawn by a fan somewhere and not the group itself. Gacy wasn't a cowboy, either...I'm just sayin'.

@robbiedaug Awww shucks, and I DID do my best on the vox on this one because I wasn't really goofing around this time. LOL Thanks for the thumbs-up just the same. Strings were played on my Yamaha keyboard, bass on my Johnson 3/4 scale bass guitar, and guitars on my Gibson SG...Drums provided by Tim Grogg on a set of Pearls.
