Fred Cocherham's Roustabout on my homemade Stichter copy. (Well, I made the neck anyway. I recycled the pot from a Prust tackhead.) cFCEG (or a little lower here). I'm in my dining room. Please excuse the echo. It's an old digital camera! Special thanks to the camerawoman and the two tiny (and one four-legged) fans. Enjoy!

BTW, cFCEG is given by Howe in his 1851 "Gumbo Chaff's" banjo tutor- the earliest documented banjo tuning. (Special thanks to R.D. Lunceford for the information.)

  • sound's real cool. what's the scale length?

  • A whopping 31" just like the original Stichter. Not a daily player, but very fun to kick around on from time to time.

  • Cool. It almost sounds like an Oud.

  • I dig it! Nice job.
