Collapsible arch engineered for minimum distortion in the collapsed position. Arch is rotationally stabilized when the ends are anchored. Constructed of segments folded from paper and held with tape. Inspired by the Miura map fold. This construction extends the Nathan Kane patented bellows design which collapses in the axial direction (the special case where major radius R = infinity) with minimized distortion to any bellows with minor radius = r, major radius = R, and polygon cross section of sides = n for minimized distortion in the collapsed position. Constructions with n from 5 through 10 have been demonstrated.
