The Chinese locomotive firemen really know their stuff! They have good hot fires
going in the grates, making the coal burn clean. Even on hard pulls you don't
see billowing black smoke out the stack, which looks good but actually means
a dirty, inefficient fire. Also their whistles just give one "toot". The Chinese are
all business, and their railroading has none of the "romance" that was a hallmark
of American railroading back in the steam days. Remember the Chinese workers are SLAVES.
