I'm frm Mt Pleasant&Williams Ave and I remember those block parties in like '79-80 Soundstage, Tony B, Grandmasters of Funk Funk Mob, Boogie and Rat,Nell and Mixmaster Flash. Cash Money and Jazzy Jeff came a few years later but we had the illest djs. I went to Gtown and wore Palmieris and Cazals. A fly youngun. A flier adult. Thnx 4 the memories

What's up GT? One of my partners told me about the comments you posted. I'd like to thank you for the kind words. To be honest, I didn't know any of these things were on You Tube until someone told me about them. I'm a low key dude. Thanks again.

Wow! You know what I love about this clip! You can tell Spinbad is from the old school. He was puttin his own thing on a record every DJ from all over the world has touched. In this short clip he cut parts of the record i've never heard anybody cut and in his on way. There are lots of talented DJs out here but a lot of them are clones who are satisfied being able to do the same cuts that the next man or woman can do. Few people are consistently elevating to the next level like this.

@Musicdoctor412 Oh yes that classic Isaac Hayes "Breakthrough" in Philly we cut it up at 45rpm instead of 33 1/3 -. We'll probably drop that at Lou & Choo's for B-Day Party this weekend. I'll see if can remember to post it
