Blender 3D Exercise: Modelling a Standard LCD Monitor
Episode #2

Description:
I'm going to make a bunch or short videos of exercises I do with blender so that others can replicate/get ideas/inspiration from what I do. Most, if not all episodes I make will be time lapsed and will have no tutorial style (no in explanations) or audio. Feel free to leave questions and I will try to answer them.

Happy Blending, And please post comments if you like the idea!

  • hey! nice video... umm i was wonddering ¿how do you paint one mesh with different colos?

  • @GpozzoSkins Thanks.

To make a mesh have multiple colours you:

    1. Add a colour to the entire mesh.

    2. Select faces that you want to colour using the face select tool, or you can select the vertices that form the face. Both work.

    3. Go into the editing tab and under the links and materials panel you can add a material by clicking "New"

  • 4. Change the material to whatever you want, and then go back under the links and materials panel click Assign, this will make the material affect the currently selected faces.

If it doesn't work, or you don't understand, post here and I will try and help.
