This failing coating was removed using recycled crushed glass. It was shot at 60 PSI. Glass application must be more closely monitored than blasting with corn cob due to the glass being more abrasive. The glass is like a sand product you can rub in your hands, it is not sharp. The residue can be treated like sand, it becomes a soil amendment. Glass has less than 1/2 of 1% of free silica in the dust and is approved for open air blasting in California. The Eco-Blast H250 Series of soda blasters have shot large grit glass for 6 weeks straight with no parts needing replacement. How is THAT for TOUGH! www.Soda-Blast.Com
