I'm guessing that the Defenders campaign is in a 'Colbert' style of humour in that they're not actually attacking him, but using his humour to raise real awareness of bears in a similar manner.

Oh and yes, Colbert's relentless 'attack' on bears is funny, and it is, just a joke.

I'm sure Stephen will be happy to give some air time to Defenders of Wildlife if he hasn't already done so. I care about bear conservation and support Defenders, and I also think Stephen Colbert is hilarious -- and I don't find this a bit contradictory. If you do, then you just don't get the Colbert Report.

We all understand that Coolbert's humor is off the wal..., He is cool. Now Asner's humor in this case is serious and stupid as all of his known leftwing propaganda has been in the past. But on a side note stephen colbert is a comedian. His work isnt meant to be taken seriously. Its just like when fox news *todays yellow journalism* said that planned parenthood was a bad idea because you can get a breast exam or pap smear at walgreens and he sarcasticaly agreed and implied the phrase "not intended to be a factual statement". I hope noone would take that seriously rofl.

Lmao this reminds me of an episode of the colbert report when he was talking about a police officer in california that was attacked by a grizzly bear trying to break into his home. The cop zapped it with a high voltage tazer he used from work and it was so strong it made the bear break dance. "He turned that grizzly into a sizzly!" XD.
