just because you cant afford blurays and HDMI cables and stuff, doesnt mean its a lesser good technology... you get what you pay for :P

HDCP sucks big time.
As long as the studios insist on this nasty sucky Digital Restrictions Management (DRM) on HD content, We wont be touching it any time soon.

@rickie5150 Ah, that format my grandfather told me long ago...

DVD 400k interlaced pixels high compression
Blu-RAY 2.2 million none interlaced pixels low compression some have no compression.
DVD very high compresed Mp3 audio
Blu-RAy 48KHZ low compression and no audio compresion on some movies.
If you cant see the diference buy a better TV

Just because you don't know how to play a Blu-Ray disk or don't have the right equipment doesn't mean DVD is better. Also, I'm sure this was a joke, but it wasn't all that funny.

I don't care what you say, DVD can't touch blu-ray. I've seen HD DVD and Blu-Ray next to eachother, blu ray is just so beautiful..especially with avatar

HDCP also doesn't work on many HDMI connections

DUH! - HDCP is DRM copy protection that defeats the use of the COMPONENT output.
