The only downside is General Orlov.

That roger moore clip talking with the animals is the best thing ive ever seen. This means you are officially awesome. Oh yeah good review n' all! :)

Its so funny that you just randomly mentioned Never Say Never Again in the review just after 9 minutes in, no purpose but you just put it in there. That was hilarious XD

I liked octopussy - saw it more as a comedy action bond movie :P

I agree with you, Octopussy is a very entertaining film that is just so much fun, easily one of the most watchable. Maud Adams' Octopussy has the best chemistry with Moore of any of his Bond girls. The villans and supporting cast are great and the action scenes are thrilling. Robert Brown is the generic M but he does an decent job, Q has a good supporting role in this film. Roger Moore is more convincing as James Bond in 1983 than Sean Connery was, as I imagine your next review will confirm.

here but he's still good in the role at 55 years of age. Somehow, I prefer his performance on AVTAK, and despite looking older by another 8 years on AVTAK, he looks more energetic and slimmer than on OP. OP is my fifth favorite of the Roger Moore Bond films, ahead of LALD and TMWTGG which in my opinion were the least worthy.

I like Octopussy myself, and it is quite enjoyable, though some flaws I found were the dragging scenes that took place in Germany, and the entire bomb plot. The first half of the film was great and interesting at all times. John Glen's directing for this second film of his five consecutive film run was not as good as it's predecessor, or the next two in the series, BUT it is still better than Glen's last effort - Licence To Kill which was my least fav of his films.
Moore was starting to lookold

Your comment about Q and the girls was hilarious. As far as the upcoming NSNA, I really don't know why they bothered making that mess. I mean did anyone really think that was going to be a serious rival to Moore's OP?
Just curious how you guys feel about John Cleese raplacing Llewelyn as Q. I think he was a perfect choice and I hope they bring the Q role back in the next movie. I would certainly welcome a return to the classic formula that made the Bond movies so much fun. Casino Royale was excellent, Quantum of Solace--not so much. It's time for Q to lighten the mood again.

@radioclash81 I loved Cleese as Q and to be honest I was rather dissapointed they didn't keep him around for Casino Royale. I don't care what Wilson and Broccoli say, they could easily have fit Q into that film! I mean Q branch were practically present when Bond was poisoned and defibrilating himself, giving him instructions and that. I think we'll be very lucky to see Cleese back as Q again though, I can see them recasting someone who gels more with Craig's version of Bond.
