Andy serkis professional commitment to his acting has no doubt made Gollum into the lovable and unforgettable character that anyone whom has seen the films will know. Btw the CG for Gullum in the Hobbit has to be the best I have seen.

Great video. Would love to see more in depth technical details. Not sure they should be mentioning the goblin king though - that was by far the weakest CGI in the film - felt almost like a physics demo.

People think CGI is easy computer crap. They don't know how many hours,months and years go into research for the software they make or rigging for just one movie. Or muscle systems,motion capture,controls animating, rotoscoping,lighting, texturing,modeling compositing,rendering etc.
