I think that peaple are not watching CAP AND TRADE or CARBON TAX . I do believe in climate change but if the government charges the power companys for c02 they will only pass it on to you and I. That is taxation and that will not make us very popular. Concervation makes sense no matter what but if it costs others money they will look at us like part of the problem when we had nothing to do with it. Kevin OBX NC

Agreed. They can be nosy and they try to tell us what we can do on our own property, kind of like a 2nd government. Years ago, a couple of my neighbors raised concerns when I wanted to build the white, vinyl privacy fence shown in the video. They were concerned I was building it too close to the road. Most of my neighbors are easy to get along with, but they could make someone's life miserable if they wanted. I wonder if they will care that I plan on getting chickens soon? LOL

Home owner ASSociations are very overbearing, and really help stop the DIY person from being all they can be. Especially if they can see it. Hope to see the update soon. Later from sunny FL!

Thanks...I'm hoping to get this project finished up soon!
I now have 200watts of panels.. one similar to your 110 watt panel and two smaller 55 watt panels.....I have to take them in and out of the house every single day....still feel to risky to put them outside 24/7. I liked your video.

Hi, vicmeuk, what is the main risk to leaving the panels out to you? Theft, wind, hail?
I'll be locking mine down but if the weather looks like it's getting really bad I'll still have the option to unlock the panel and bring it indoors. Sometimes when I am carrying my panel from the garage to outside, I'm afraid I'm going to bang the panel into a corner and break it, so that's another risk.
Thanks for your comment!

I've been scratching my head to see what kind of mount I can build for my new panel. Right now it's just resting against the chimney. You gave me some good ideas about the mount. I've learned so much from you guys. Are you serious about the chickens?

Yeah, I've been leaning my panel on lawn chairs. I'm almost ready to give this panel the respect it deserves with its own perch to rest on.
Chickens... yes, I plan to get a few in this summer. I want a source of fresh, organic eggs from healthy well-fed chickens.
Thanks for your comment and good luck with your mount.

Great Video I have one the battle with my township on roof mounted wind turbines and hope to get it up soon. I hate to say it but I agree with keeping a low profile with your system because I think solar and wind are getting ready to be a bad issue with the public and I think that is a shame.

You got me curious why you think the public might turn against solar and wind. I haven't seen that tendency yet.
