In July of 1991, a workmate asked me Did I
want a Kitten? I went to His house and came
home with Misty (Blue) a few Months later, a
Stray I took in and named Hamish also became
part of My Family, and for the next 17 years
these two were inseparable, they were always
there for me through thick and thin the Good
times and Bad, Sadly Hamish was Diagnosed
with (CRF) Kidney Failure, On the 25th of August
2007, He was put on an emergency Drip for
24hrs and then came home, but the CRF had
been There for a while, Unseen Damage had
been done to His Kidneys, and there was no
more we could Do To help him He was sent to
Rainbow Bridge on the 5th of September
I STILL Miss Him !!.
After the Loss of Hamish, I had Mistys bloods
taken And He too was diagnosed with CRF, but it
had been caught very early, With Medication, I
was told that He could Still live out a normal
Happy Life.. but fate threw us a curveball,
Misty had went off His food just after xmas day
2008, bloods were done and in January this year
2009, Misty was diagnosed with Lymphosarcoma
( bone marrow Cancer ) I was told that The
Cancer is Quite Aggressive and that even with
treatment, Misty was given 2-9 months, due to
Mistys age and the side effects involved with the
Chemotherapy, I decided not to Put Him through
it, There is no pain with this Cancer Just that
some days he may be a bit off and unwell I was
given steroid Pills which really Helped Him, He
Was Still bright and Happy, eating like a horse,
Cleaning Himself, Playing and of course sleeping
But on March 21st, I noticed that He was
becoming hesitant When going to jump on the
bed / settee, over the next few Days He stopped
jumping down, I took Him back to the Vets And
was advised to double the dose of the Steroids
This had no effect, and Misty continued to get
worse I had called the vet to see what else that
could be done Misty was Given a Steroid
injection, which was a lot more Powerful than the
Pills This was the Last resort, if there Was No
improvement in 24 / 48 hrs, the decision that I
Had been dreading would have to be Made
It was not meant to Be L
Misty was sent to Rainbow Bridge on the 6th of
April
I am so Missing them now
Hamish and Misty were Both Cremated and their
Bodily remains are back home
Their spirits are now Free, and they are now back
together again
In Memory of My Two Boys
Ill never Forget You !!!!!
