Attention Asian horror buffs! Coming soon to limited release is Park Chan-Wook's latest, Thirst.

When a botched medical experiment turns a Catholic priest into a vampire, the end result leaves him thirsty, but not only for human blood. What follows is a long and strange journey for our bloodsucking man of the cloth that gives him a first-hand look into the darker side of humanity. Check out the trailer.

It's already a huge hit in South Korea and took the Jury Prize at Cannes, but can this unlikely vampire flick find any traction in the States? Most Americans' exposure to Korean horror revolves around ghost movies, so can Korean horror minus the ghosts find an audience here? Hit the comments section and tell us what you think. Thanks for watching!

Thirst Cast: Song Kang-ho, Shin Ha-kyun, Kim Ok-bi

  • @ExtremeCrewForever are you kidding me?? so Americans should only care about movies in English?? Park is one of the best, most creative directors there is. Most American directors are shit compared to Park, especially in the horror/psychological category. Thirst is a great film, as is Oldboy... to ignore movies because they aren't in English is ridiculous. Learn to read fucking subtitles.

  • I feel like if the woman on this thing watched oldboy she wouldn't understand.....not because she doesn't get the film, but because she can't read subtitles

one of the best vampire movies ive seen since let the right one in

  • @Johnlindsey289 Americans as well, but back a few decades ago when it wasn't the age of gore or CGI horrors. Watch Rosemary's Baby or The Shining, they were great psychological horror films.

  • @RawandWrite I might even write up a review

  • This movie was wonderfully tragic, better than any Twilight I have ever seen.

  • A work of art and rivals Let The Right One In for the best vampire movie of the last decade! very unique and unconventional vampire movie. Europeans and Asians know how to make good horror films.

  • 0:32 skip the bitch, there you go

  • Let the Right One In > Thirst >(infinity)> Twilight.

  • @evlved1 LMAO @ learn to read fucking subtitles hahaha....so true Korean movies and their genius like directors and the most gifted actors I've ever seen!!!

  • this was one of the best vampire movies ive seen
