The way the Locos stopped on the diamond, I thought the lead was going to flip on his turn signal and make a sharp left turn...LOL

When the EL was still around they had to back trains through town to get to and from the Dayton Branch because the switch faced away from the yards....

I think its cool how they honor the past by painting the caboose in EL colors... Very neat!!!

NS used to use an old Norfolk & Western caboose in my home town for a local while I was growing up. recently they've brought it back for maintenance of way track work. brings back old memories.

If i can compare the railways in U.S and in Europe. Here in Europe there is no possible crossing of two different railroads by this way in one level. One of them is always on the bridge and the second is passing under that. Sometimes I only see one level rossing with railroad with a rail leading to some factory. but not often.
wow, a gp30 in service! anyhow, wasnt there a huge station at this location?
